New rewards in Star Trek Online will be rolled out each week for the Featured Episode “Melting Pot”, with the final one being the Preeminent Covariant Shields, a Tzenkethi specialty. These Shields can shift the balance of shield capacity so that the aft section of the ship is more protected than the fore, resembling Tzenkethi’s mindset and culture of “always looking forward”!
Additionally, the Preeminent Covariant Shields counts towards the Incontrovertible Defenses set thorough which you will be able to unlock powerful set bonuses such as the Carapacial Resistances, the Inundated Shielding and the Counter-Balanced Munitions. Note that all unlocked rewards will remain as selected options on “Melting Pot” once it is added to the normal Episode list.
