Hawken is a free to play online 3D MMO shooter game, by Reloaded Games. Evolving in the dystopian world of Illal, players find themselves placed into “Mechs” cockpits, controlling the gigantic mechanical war machines that carry powerful weapons able to deal massive damage. You are surrounded by devastated environments, decaying cityscapes, wastelands and deserted towns completely torn apart by the industrial war for resources and territory between the 3 corporations of Prosk, Sentium and Crion and the accidental unleash of the Hawken Nano-virus, following Crion’s collapse, that continues to expand unstoppably.
Based on your damage-dealing preferred style, choose from 18 unique Mechs that carry their own abilities and weapons. Lightweight A-Class, are the fastest ones, providing you with the advantage of speed during battles. However, they lack in durability so you should pay attention to your covering and defensive strategy. B-Class Mechs are balanced between speed and armor and C-Class Mechs are slow but highly resistant to attacks making them easy targets but at the same time irreplaceable for area defense. Multiple customization options are available, from weapon Loadout to cosmetic elements and “internals”; items and functions that enhance your defensive or offensive playstyle.
Hawken scores high with its highly detailed graphics, superb models, beautiful textures and breathtaking environments and effects, with the latter taking full advantage of the NVIDIA PhysX engine. In case you are a lucky owner of an Oculus Rift set, you will also have the chance to fully immerse yourself and experience the game in Virtual Reality mode.
On the online PVP side, Hawken offers six different game modes that cover various cooperative as well as competitive scenarios. The title is currently in final beta version, expected to be soon released, so stay tuned!
