Worlds Adrift is a Massive Multiplayer Online (MMO) open world game from Bossa Studios. Players are pioneers who must explore a massive world which due to a cataclysmic event is shuttered in countless islands that float in the sky.

Players start their journey on one of these islands and in the beginning must search their “base” and the neighboring isles in search of knowledge and resources that will help them build their very own airship in order to reach distant parts of the world. You can actually build any ship you want, provided that you have enough material and of course know how to build its various parts. Your character doesn’t level up or learn any new skills, the key here is knowledge.

Worlds Adrift feature advanced physics; players can climb from one place to another using grappling hooks attached to their arms. Later on, once you have built a ship and you take part in your first fight, any damage taken will have direct impact on your vessel’s navigation, speed or battle efficiency. Parts that fall off a ship will remain where they landed until someone picks them up, same as the bodies of your slain enemies!

This game is more about exploration rather than battle, but since everyone is searching for materials that sometimes are rare, it’s difficult to avoid a fight. That’s where alliances come; you can call to your allies for help. What is more, your fellowship is a great place to share knowledge and materials in order to complete your building projects faster. It must be noted that the vast majority of these floating islands are user-created with the help of the Free Island Creator Tool; new islands are created daily adding to the ever-changing feel of the world.

If exploring is your thing and you would love to play a game with an open world that changes constantly, Worlds Adrift is surely going to leave you completely satisfied!

It was back at 1996 when Theodoros bought his first Personal Computer and with it a copy of Shogun : Total War. That was the beginning of many sleepless nights of exploring the fantastic world of gaming. He calls himself an “expert” defender and that’s his favorite gameplay style but he will not hesitate to grab a shield and go forth to protect his team as a tank. So next time you adventure in Azeroth and see a shield bearing cow named Klaras, you have found our guy! He is also a great fan of Role Playing Games. From Icewind Dale to Neverwinter Nights and Skyrim, you name it, he has played it all! He is not your average casual gamer, he is a dedicated fan!
