Wakfu is a free to play online 2D strategy MMORPG, by Ankama Games, evolving in the fantasy World of Twelve, where your ultimate goal is to avenge your home world’s catastropheby searching for the most fearsome ogre of them all, Ogrest, who is rumored to wonderaround Mount Zinit.

Choose your hero among 17 distinctive characters, that do not resemble anything else you may have experienced in similar games. They carry special spells and abilities and bare strange names, that are actually anagrams of some of their unique skills or make some sort of reference to them. For example, Xelor (anagram of Rolex, a well-known premium watch brand) is a class mostly known of his ability to manipulate time.Wakfu, cares to also provide some personalized touch by incorporating the element of Haven Bags which are personal, portable and customizable homes; and even larger Haven Worlds in case you are a Guild member.

The game’s main mechanic is centered around turn-based combat and dungeon exploration. You will have to craft your strategy carefully, defeat the evil creatures and acquire as much treasures as you can. Become anything you like, a fighter, a merchant or a craftsman and explore the open world by making your own decisions and paving your own path. You will have the power to do so, as Wakfu’s progression depends heavily on the player’s decisions and takes it a step further. It gives you the option to select one Nation, out of the available four; and embark on a political career with the goal to win the most powerful governmental position and become Governor of the Nation potentially affecting millions of players. Have in mind that this road will grant you new rights but will also address you new responsibilities. With that openness in mind, Wakfu will also provide you with the freedom but also the responsibility to manage the ecosystems. This means that every action you take towards ripping resources without properly balancing and giving back, may have destructive, irreversible consequences.
