Travian: Kingdoms is a free-to-play Massive Multiplayer Real Time Strategy (MMORTS) title from Travian Games. In reality it’s the stand alone version V of the very popular Travian game that introduces updated graphics and adds new features to the gameplay.

As in the original Travian game, you can choose one of the three warring factions, the Gauls, the Romans or the Teutons and work with others to build a World Wonder. Each faction has a unique appearance and different characteristics and bonuses. Your second choice, which is one of the newest additions, is the decision of playing as Governor or King with the first one occupying a piece of land that belongs to the player that plays as King. Governors are better suited for players that like the micromanagement and city building part of this kind of games, the PVE content if you like. Kings are charged with building armies to protect their territory and attack others; so they are more PVP oriented.

The game features colorful and detailed 2D graphics, with a nice variety of military units and buildings. As it’s customary, you have to construct and upgrade buildings that gather and store resources, research new technologies, build defensive structures and finally raise and army to conquer the world. Maintaining a good balance between amassing and spending resources is necessary and joining an alliance is a matter of survival; as the game’s world is a brutal one and you won’t make it alone.

Finally, there is a quest system that rewards players with resources and heroes for hire; these are powerful entities with upgradeable stats and equipment that lead your armies to battle boosting their performance. Travian: Kingdoms adds new features to an already successful platform creating a “must play” game for every fan of the genre.

It was back at 1996 when Theodoros bought his first Personal Computer and with it a copy of Shogun : Total War. That was the beginning of many sleepless nights of exploring the fantastic world of gaming. He calls himself an “expert” defender and that’s his favorite gameplay style but he will not hesitate to grab a shield and go forth to protect his team as a tank. So next time you adventure in Azeroth and see a shield bearing cow named Klaras, you have found our guy! He is also a great fan of Role Playing Games. From Icewind Dale to Neverwinter Nights and Skyrim, you name it, he has played it all! He is not your average casual gamer, he is a dedicated fan!
