RAN Online

RAN Online is a MMORPG that was developed and published by Min Communications in February 2005. Starting out players get to choose one of three schools: Sacred Gate, Mystic Peak and Phoenix. These schools fight over territory control in large scaled PvP battles, which was about the most exciting piece that was found in the game. There are nine classes to choose from and you can also choose gender freely. The setting of the game is interesting as it is schools and fights happen in the campuses.

The level cap is 260 which seems like a distant goal and the game does indeed become grind heavy and repetitive with the probability of the player burning out and moving on before reaching the cap. It is difficult to see players enjoying this game for a long period of time but it is free to play and if you are looking for a taste of nostalgia you could try it out.
