Priston Tales is one of the first MMORPG to ever be successful, developed by Yedang Online and published by Suba Games. In a first glimpse you may say that “oh look at those graphics, they seem dated” and yes you’ll be correct to say so, but Priston Tales has so much more to offer.

As in any classic title of the genre, in Priston Tales you start off by choosing your faction among Morion and Tempskron, each of which gives you access to a series of classes to choose from. Don’t expect much of a customization variety for your character, choose one of three facial features and you’re set to go

To start off, you’ll be accompanied by an NPC which will basically be your game tutorial while it also assists you in battle, which is a nice touch. There’s also a first quest line to help you get through with the controls of the game but don’t expect anything too helpful or extremely interesting.

Playing the game feels natural yet dated. There’s a variety of different skills for each character, with not much complexity to their mechanics so that you get the hang of it pretty early. What’s bad tough is the fact that battling doesn’t feel as impactful as it should.

Finding players to play with, in Priston Tales, is one of its main features. The game manages to still have a dedicated active playerbase that is happy to assist you in any activity and extremely helpful with your questions.

Where this game fails though is its graphics department as well as its PvP system. It’s true that for a game that is 10 years old there’s not much to be expected but overall a minor update on these parts would have been awesome.

Overall, Priston Tales is a brilliant oldschool MMORPG that has been forgotten through time. If have ever been wondering where did all those MMORPG’s out there originated from, then be sure to try this one out.

She truly realised her love for videogames when she became an adult though and from that moment on she wanted to make it her carreer by any means necessary. After having spent a few years in videogame journalism she came to believe that one day she will be the most famous videogame reviewer in existence.
