Paragon Review

Paragon is a third person MOBA set in a sci-fi world, developed and published by Epic Games. It’s not a freshly released title, however it features some of the most realistic yet needy graphics to par.

The game offers a vast variety of 37 different heroes, all stunning animated and uniquely crafted. If you just take a look at their artwork you’ll tell that Epic Games is not fooling around when it comes to Paragon. You wouldn’t expect less from a game that is purely made in Unreal 4 engine.

Learning the ropes in Paragon is no easy task. If you are familiar with MOBAs like League of Legends and Dota 2 you will have a hard time getting around the map, last hitting and engaging fights but everything is relative since with a certain amount of time everything can be mastered.

The pattern is similar to all MOBAs. Three lanes equipped with turrets and waves of mobs which must be destroyed until you reach the enemy core. The jungle is pretty tricky to get around into but if you manage to slay the monster camps located inside you will be awarded with some generus buffs. Expect your timeplay to be around 20-30 minutes, as is with every other game of its caliber.

Paragon implements a deck building system which determines the build you are going for in battle and the items you’ll buy from the store. You are to collect and mix and match those cards for maximum value. You should see a Youtube tutorial on dck building and card upgrading so that you get a better idea of what you’re getting into.

You can play all heroes in Paragon for free but can be purchased with 25000 reputation points so that you can receive rewards as you level them up. Every character has his own Master Challenge page where you gain levels and rewards with it. By level 10 you unlock the hero’s master skin, which, at most times, is an awesome looking alteration of the original one.

Overall, Paragon is a really good third person MOBA that stands tall on its values and art design. You may face problems of low quality or lag due to its intense graphics but it sure is worth the while.
