Paladins Review

Paladins is a free to play 3D MOBA FPS game, by Hi-Rez Studios, which combines fast paced action with collectible card game mechanics. Set up in a fantasy world of ancient technology, Paladins is a great and much-promising team-based shooter that offers deep strategic and customization elements and multiple game modes to show off your skills. Players choose among a diverse pool of champions, ranging from bowmen and axmen to snipers and cannoneers, all with a special character presentational twist, blazing their unique skills and abilities. The game is played from a first perspective viewing angle just like common FPS games and controls are easy to grasp, making it welcoming for veterans and newcomers alike.

Collectible cards play a vital role in-game as you will try to build a powerful deck of cards for your selected hero boosting certain skills and attributes, according to your specific playing style. Paladins offers extreme customization options on this level; however, it should be positively noted that all the upgrades that play some role in combat can be gained through play; leaving only cosmetics available for purchase and no room for pay-to-win tactics.

Throughout play and by completing quests, players gain experience points and level up. For their efforts and advancements, they are offered chests hiding special rewards and gold which can be used to gain new cards and unique items. Presentation wise, Paladins is a killer, meaning that graphics and sounds are well taken care of and high production values are evident everywhere.
