Overwatch Review

Overwatch is a Massive Multiplayer Online (MMO) First Person Shooter (FPS) game from Blizzard Entertainment. It features fast-paced tactical battles between two teams of six players in a variety of maps.

Before joining the battle you must choose a character to play. There are 24 available with unique design and different skills and abilities. Although there are 4 distinct roles in every fight, namely tank, attack, defense, support and more than one character that can be assigned to, Overwatch makes sure that every hero has a distinctive play style. Your champions gain experience and each time they acquire a new level, they are awarded with a loot box containing a variety of cosmetic items that help create a unique appearance.

There is a background story but you will not be paying much attention to it, your focus here is battle. The in-game tutorials will explain everything you need to know on how to control your hero and will familiarize you with the basic mechanics.  There are 14 maps, each with certain objectives that need to be met in order for your team to be victorious. All of them are carefully designed to provide chokepoints for defenders to exploit and a variety of alternative routes that attackers can take advantage of. Winning a match in Overwatch is a matter of coordination, tactical deployment and deep knowledge of you hero abilities rather than personal skill; you can be the best player, but without your teammates, you will go nowhere. The game features beautiful 3D graphics with colorful and bright artwork. The maps are detailed, with destructible environments and the heroes are masterfully designed with excellent animations. Combat is a great mix of awesome visual effects that combined with the wide array of sound effects and the upbeat musical themes result in an experience that i.
