A once peaceful land divided in three fighting kingdoms, monsters and abominations roam freely and mysterious Metin stones’ falling from the sky…You are the champion that must ally with the Dragon God and restore peace and order. This is the story of Metin 2, the free-to-play Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) from Gameforge.

Before starting your adventure, you must pick one of the five available classes that better fits your game style. Later on, you can choose a sub-class for your character, for example the Shaman can focus on attack spells or choose to become a healer. Another decision you have to make is which of the three factions you will ally with. The game implements a helpful tutorial that will teach you everything you need to know and get you ready for the campaign ahead.

The quest-driven story will have you explore a colorful, vibrant world with 3D graphics that, although a little outdated, have good detail. The strongest feature of the game is combat. Forget the boring mouse clicking and hotkey bashing; in Metin 2 you must be always on the move to avoid your opponent’s attacks and in the same time use your skills. What is more, your mouse moves represent swings of your weapon.

Finally, for those who love Player versus Player (PVP) action, there are more than enough events such as the Arena, Battleground or Guild Battles to keep you entertained. In conclusion, despite the fact that it’s been on the market for almost ten years, Metin 2 manages to be on a par with modern day titles and offers RPG fans an appealing gaming package.

It was back at 1996 when Theodoros bought his first Personal Computer and with it a copy of Shogun : Total War. That was the beginning of many sleepless nights of exploring the fantastic world of gaming. He calls himself an “expert” defender and that’s his favorite gameplay style but he will not hesitate to grab a shield and go forth to protect his team as a tank. So next time you adventure in Azeroth and see a shield bearing cow named Klaras, you have found our guy! He is also a great fan of Role Playing Games. From Icewind Dale to Neverwinter Nights and Skyrim, you name it, he has played it all! He is not your average casual gamer, he is a dedicated fan!
