Life Forge Review

Life Forge is a Free 2D Online RPG developed by the Life Forge team, created in their own customized engine, and published by Skywyre. Set in an 8-bit world with fantasy themes and Zelda-like gameplay, Life Forge could be an amazing game if it was polished and wasn’t so demanding of your time.

There’s not much to say about Life Forge’s gameplay. The game includes pretty much the basics a classic MMO RPG has, with weight and stamina features along with heartwarming retro graphics. However, its grindy character and lack o actual content shows pretty quickly.

While there are many different classes, there’s no actual point to choosing since most of the time you’ll have to spam buttons in order to proceed in the battle. Worst thing is that mobs and items are basically all the same, with only bosses and unique items having their own art and not just recolors.

Overall, Life Forge is not recommendable. If you value your time and the amount of effort put in a game then go try an RPG Maker title instead. Wish it wasn’t that way but Life Forge by 2018 is pretty much dead.

After having spent a few years in videogame journalism she came to believe that one day she will be the most famous videogame reviewer in existence.
