Happy Wars is an online multiplayer action game that was developed and published by Toylogic in October 2012. Starting the game there is an extensive tutorial that takes players through the basics of the game and it is very thorough, so it would be a good idea to not skip it at all. The game features three main classes: Warrior, Cleric and Mage and three Extra Classes: Berserker, Engineer and Zephyr.

There is a variety of maps available and they have a colourful and vibrant aesthetic. Overall most maps are fun to play and their pathing is visible and easy to understand. However, some maps were a bit more confusing and it became tedious to navigate through them figuring out where to go next and what to do.

Characters can be customized by a variety of different ways. You can change your class, your gender and equip items that can be leveled up and remodeled to get that sweet look you are looking for! There are also 6 game modes that provide a lot of action and fun to play: Quick Match, Co-Op Mode, Player Match, Special Games, Skirmish Mode and Story Campaign.

Happy Wars is a fun game that combines some elements from a variety of popular genres and puts them all together to create a colorful and fun game. Starting out it provides a lot of fun and you can spend a moderate amount of time to customize and try out all your characters. There is a unique skill system that you get random team skills as you level up. Even though that there are also quite a few bumps and some points that can be improved I suggest giving it a try as it is free to play and you can enjoy it, especially with friends.

Growing up I had the luck to encounter the art of video games at a very young age in South Africa in 1990. I was captivated from the first moment I played video games from the educational math games at school to the purely entertaining video games at home. This love cultivated in studying Audio and Visual Arts, where I created the interactive audiovisual play in the form of a video game titled "The Life of Death".
