Goodgame Empire is a free-to-play strategy game from Goodgame Studios. In a medieval setting players build their cities, manage their economy and raise armies in order to create an empire. The game is also available for Android and IOS devices.

As it’s customary in games of the genre, you begin with a very small settlement with only the very basics, in this case your castle. The very helpful tutorial will guide you through the very basics of city building, resource gathering and technology researching. Everything comes in the form of quests and that’s the basic layout of the main story.

When you have established a flourishing economy and have a constant flow of resources, you are ready to raise your army and conquer neighboring settlements. Before you do that, you need to spy on your opponents to learn their army’s strength; once you have this information, you can pick the type and numbers of units you want to send and the game will notify you on the outcome of the battle. Finally, you must not underestimate the importance of alliances; sometimes they are the difference between winning and losing!

Goodgame Empire features colorful 2D graphics with nicely detailed models for the various buildings and army units. The soundtrack contributes to the whole experience with the appropriate medieval themes. It’s a typical empire-building game and doesn’t really discover the wheel but it will offer you many entertaining and fun gaming hours.

It was back at 1996 when Theodoros bought his first Personal Computer and with it a copy of Shogun : Total War. That was the beginning of many sleepless nights of exploring the fantastic world of gaming. He calls himself an “expert” defender and that’s his favorite gameplay style but he will not hesitate to grab a shield and go forth to protect his team as a tank. So next time you adventure in Azeroth and see a shield bearing cow named Klaras, you have found our guy! He is also a great fan of Role Playing Games. From Icewind Dale to Neverwinter Nights and Skyrim, you name it, he has played it all! He is not your average casual gamer, he is a dedicated fan!
