Fantasica-Tower Defense TCG is a free-to-play, fantasy online tower defense game, developed by Mobage for mobile devices. This game’s unique feature is the combination of a traditional tower defense game with card collection and RPG elements.

In Fantasica, players find themselves using collectible heroes to intercept the oncoming hordes of monsters. Hero cards fall into three main categories each with different attributes and skillsets. Melee heroes are hard-hitting close range bruisers, ranged heroes have wide range attacks thus are suitable for countering aerial foes but fall short when it comes to sheer damage and magic heroes can deal with both ground and air units but they lack in range and speed.

There are various modes in Fantasica, all focused on acquiring and leveling your hero cards. Achieving quests, accomplishing treasure runs or using the training mode, all reward you with hero experience, upgrades and if you are lucky, with new shinny and powerful cards. Another way to acquire cards is through the shop, using real money called “Fanta Points”. Each card has a manga illustration of the hero with a short description underneath and its attributes such as speed, range and damage on the back.

Fantasica is a game that has the potential to be great but if you are looking for a revolutionary tower defense game with challenging strategy elements you may be a bit underwhelmed.
