Everquest 2 is a free to play 3D MMORPG, by Daybreak Game Company. Evolving in the world of Norrath, a vast fantasy world full of lore, mysteries and secrets to discover, Everquest 2 builds up its long lasting heritage spanning over than 10 years and presents a beautiful, engaging but also dangerous world featuring over than 100 levels, 8.000 quests and 5.000 creatures all rendered into high quality 3D graphics and sound and backed up by multiple immersive online gameplay modes.

Create your own unique character, selecting from over 20 different races and 20 unique classes. Races range from Good, like Dwarfs and Elves, Evil like Ogres and Trolls and Neutral as Humans and Gnomes. Classes range from the classic fighting Warriors and Crusaders to Healer Druids and Shamans, Scouting Bards and Rogues and Magic wielding Sorcerers and Enchanters. Trade skills like weapon smith, alchemist, jeweler and carpenter can be learned and improved throughout the game, while crafted items can be sold in-game to other players and generate a profit.

The skill progression system of Everquest 2 is one of the deepest available in the genre and shows a clear way of how things should be done about skills, traits and abilities upgrade and selection. Racial abilities are governed by the Tradition Tree, where players should choose their abilities wisely be spending earned Tradition points. Character Traits can improve your character’s stats and even grant new abilities to learn by progressing through the game. Finally, Alternate Advancement points that can be gained mainly through quest completion, looting, exploring and monster killing, are an innovative path to further develop your abilities by acquiring special powers that will boost your skill beyond the limits of your level.

A good addition is that the game lets you start a Heroic character at level 90, in order to experiment and test various end-game characters, prior to investing major amounts of time leveling up characters that may not be suited to your gameplay style and preferences. Multiple PVP modes are available like arenas, battlegrounds, duels and open world and by participating you will be rewarded with various items and coins apart from the standard experience gain.

Everquest 2 has a long history and certainly includes tons of content and updates to experience and enjoy, while its extended community is greatly active and welcomes newcomers and veterans alike. Even though it’s been quite a long since its launch, it will certainly provide amazing excitement hours of gameplay, exploration and discovery.
