Dreadnought is a free to play 3D MMO shooter game by Greybox, centered around battleship command and space combat. The endless solar system is your battlefield and while you engage in 5×5 epic battles you will also get the chance to wander through magnificent planetary landscapes and explore the darkest sides of the universe.
Players will choose from five different battleships and three unique battleship subclasses. From there, they will have the chance to customize it at will. Main focus is around spaceship customization and class-based cooperative fighting. This means that you will be free to experiment with every component or weapon of your ship and customize it according to your preferences and playstyle. However, you should also learn quickly and understand what are the implications, advantages or disadvantages of every selection you make as this expertise will be critical in battle in order to create strategic advantages, outsmart your opponents, level up and boost your reputation. A great cosmetics variance is also available to choose and place on your ship, so you can visually differentiate and graphically showcase your distinctive style. Through combat, you will also acquire Fleet points which can be used to unlock new game elements. By turning in real money you can get hold of Grey Box points, which can be used to buy extra bonuses and customizations. It should be noted however that these items won’t affect game balance by providing decisive advantages.
Dreadnought’s presentation is stellar and the space crafts as well as the environments are beautifully designed. There are two game modes to select, classic 20min team death-matches in which players compete for the most kills and the more strategic team elimination, in which players try to destroy the enemy’s capital ships while protecting their own.
