DC Universe Online (abbreviated DCUO) is a free to play action-combat Massive Multiplayer Online Game set in the universe of DC Comics. It is developed by Daybreak Company and co-published by Daybreak Company and WB Games and released on January 11, 2011.

The game features a fully customizable character creation tool where players have the ability to create their very own super hero with its unique set of powers and get to choose which side to fight with (Hero or Villain). After the character creation process is complete, there is an extended in-game tutorial where we learn the game basics. While keeping key MMO game elements like a levelling system, inventories, raid instances and an end game progression, Daybreak Company tries to offer gamers some new features like a dynamically generated world, uniquely created for each player. You get to fight alongside some of DC’s most iconic heroes in stories/quests that sometimes are brought forth from the pages of DC’s comics. The game also offers a Player Versus Player (PVP) mode where participants get to show their skills in numerous different arenas. The welcome twist in the plot is that there is a “Legend” mode where gamers can play as one of their favorite DC hero and use its iconic powers.

If you like MMOs with a lot of action and enjoy comic books, DC Universe Online may be the perfect game for you.

It was back at 1996 when Theodoros bought his first Personal Computer and with it a copy of Shogun : Total War. That was the beginning of many sleepless nights of exploring the fantastic world of gaming. He calls himself an “expert” defender and that’s his favorite gameplay style but he will not hesitate to grab a shield and go forth to protect his team as a tank. So next time you adventure in Azeroth and see a shield bearing cow named Klaras, you have found our guy! He is also a great fan of Role Playing Games. From Icewind Dale to Neverwinter Nights and Skyrim, you name it, he has played it all! He is not your average casual gamer, he is a dedicated fan!
