Battle of the Immortals is a free-to-play, Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) from Perfect World Entertainment. It features fast-paced action, an intriguing story that will have you fight alongside Odin against some of the most iconic Gods from various mythologies and an extended pet and mount system.

As it customary, before entering the game you are called to create a character; there are seven playable classes, all with their distinct skills and abilities that fulfill different roles in battles. There little available options when it comes to customization; you can change your heroes face and/or their hair and choose a gender, but nothing more. After that, you enter the game where a small tutorial awaits to teach you all the basics and introduce you to the story.

Battle of the Immortals revolves around following the huge storyline and wandering around slaying monsters for experience and gold. Combat is action based and requires using your key-bound abilities in order for your hero to swing their gigantic weapon and destroy everything in their path. Unfortunately, the game’s graphics, although 3D and well-detailed, look rather old, especially when compared with modern titles.

Battle of the Immortals’s most interesting features are the meticulous pet and mount system; literally every monster you come across may be captured, tamed and trained to aid you in battle. The same goes for the mounts that come in different sizes and species and are fully upgradeable. Once you reach level 50, you can join a guild and participate in exciting Guild Battles for territorial gains and honor. Other than that, PVP action revolves around 1v1 duels.

Battle of the Immortals is not a bad game. It does everything expected from a true MMORPG and with some shining moments, like the pet and mount system, but it doesn’t really bring something new to the genre; should you give it a try though, it will certainly reward you with many entertaining hours of gaming!

It was back at 1996 when Theodoros bought his first Personal Computer and with it a copy of Shogun : Total War. That was the beginning of many sleepless nights of exploring the fantastic world of gaming. He calls himself an “expert” defender and that’s his favorite gameplay style but he will not hesitate to grab a shield and go forth to protect his team as a tank. So next time you adventure in Azeroth and see a shield bearing cow named Klaras, you have found our guy! He is also a great fan of Role Playing Games. From Icewind Dale to Neverwinter Nights and Skyrim, you name it, he has played it all! He is not your average casual gamer, he is a dedicated fan!
