Do you want to play Grand Theft Auto but don’t want to spend money on buying it? APB Reloaded is probably the closest to GTA you’ll find for free. What’s different about this game is that you can either be a law enforcer or an all out criminal, killing and robbing at his heart content. Like any other F2P shooter, APB Reloaded has series of problems like bugs and presence of hackers but, overall, it’s worth the try. Let’s give this game a spin.

What do MMO fans love? Character Creation! In APB Reloaded you’ll find plenty of different customization options to create your perfect character. What you’ll find out though is that even if you spend hours making your character look great, ingame it won’t look as good. Good thing cosmetics are available to buy throughout its gameplay so you can get around that issue.

Gameplay-wise, APB Reloaded shares a lot in common with Grand Theft Auto. Set in San Paro, a fictional city inspired by GTA cities you can drive cars around, steal them, run over pedestrians and kill them cold-bloodedly like you’d normally do in GTA. What’s different here is that instead of that you can choose to be a law enforcer finding other criminal-players, handcuff them and become the city’s hero.

Controls in APB Reloaded are fairly easy. Driving cars are pretty much like Saints Row games and shooting has a smooth feeling to it so that the game feels well made. If you’re wonder which side you should choose then you should know that they are pretty balanced offering different perks to each one. As a criminal you get to have all the GTA fun and as an enforcer you can handcuff players and bring them to justice for a change.

As for its graphics, the game is a beautiful one. Even though you can tell that it’s not as smooth and ”detail-ish” as GTA V, you’ll find that this doesn’t affect the fun you’ll have playing it.

Even though PvP is the game’s selling point its only true PvP feature is the fight clubs, which are areas where you can go and fight till you drop. However, in the larger picture APB Reloaded has a lot of issues to be considered perfect.

Its open world is not that well designed, which makes sever spots completely undetectable for camping or trap setting, causing major imbalances to its gameplay. In addition, the presence of hackers and trolls in the game offers a toxic experience to the player with most people flaming and swearing on chat. Last but not least, if you want to spend time on this game don’t get involved with anything that may consider cheating, accounts get banned like crazy even for the slightest reason and if it’s now even your fault, customer support won’t help you out (most times).

Overall, APB Reloaded is a really interesting MMO shooter with this law vs outlaw character really working for itself. The game has a small but dedicated community which may be unfriendly to new players but if you’re persistent then it’s worth the effort.
