Aika Online is a free-to-play MMORPG developed by T3Fun and  published by HanbitSoft in 2010. Many may say that this MMO has not much to offer due to its lack of people, but you can find pretty much everything you want from an MMO but only at mediocre levels.

Choosing a Nation is a big part of the game. In Aika Online there are 5 different nations which are involved in a massive “capture the flag” war with relics, which give stat boosts to all nation members.

After the nation picking you’ll be creating a character with one of 6 different classes: Warrior, Paladin, Rifleman, Dual Gunner, Walock and Cleric. Seeing classes like Dual Gunner and Paladin is not something we oftenly see in MMO’s. Although all characters have stunning models, they are gender-locked and lack most customization options.

As a first impression, Aika Online’s world seems beautiful to the eye and almost feels like a real experience as an MMO. The environment and NPC’s are neatly created and the dialogues are funny and properly voice acted. What the studio gave to this though, it took from its battle system.

Fighting in Aika Online is boring and dull as you progress. There are no skill animations, the movement of the character is weird and the battles don’t happen as fast and flowing as they should.

What’s impressive and unique about this game is it’s pet system. From the beggining you’ll be assigned with a pet fairy, named Pran, which grows and evolves as you do based on how you treat them and what your choices are.

Apart from its NvN wars, Aika Online has 2 more PvP modes in the form of Battlegrounds which are small group battles and Castle Sieges which are hardcore huge battles.

Overall, Aika Online is not an MMORPG that will excite you and keep you hooked on it. Yes, you can try it out but don’t expect much from it. Visually its a stunning video game but the studio invested too much in making it look good and forgot to put essential things into its gameplay.
