As the first part of June’s Competitive Feuature Pack, Guild Wars 2 has just updated its World vs. World putting a main focus on an improved LFG, new rewards and skirmishing updates. Additionaly, players will find much more available such as the new Skirmish Reward UI, the Match History as well as the brand new legendary backpack Warbringer and the new Tier 3 Mistforged Triumphant Hero armor.
The Skirmishing updates include a WvW Match Overview tab that has been reworked to include the new Skirmish reward track which is progressed by earning pips. Pips are earned every tick and are awarded based on your world’s position during the skirmish and your rank. It also takes into account if you are commanding a squad containing at least five people, if you have been playing on the same world for at least three weeks and if you are playing on a map in which you are outnumbered. Crossing tiers and divisions gives various rewards including Skirmish Claim Tickets (which have replaced Tournament Tickets) that can be used at the Skirmish Supervisor Vendor replacing the Battle Historian on all WvW maps. The vendor sells ascended and exotic WvW gear, including the brand-new Triumphant Hero’s armor and Mistforged Triumphant Hero’s armor, along with improvements, tactics, siege, siege decorations, tricks, traps, food, and much more.
