A good surprise is waiting RuneScape players this week as Jagex overhauls a critical game element, luck! The rework promises to provide an adaptive element that will better suit a player’s needs during the various phases of his adventures.
As a stat, luck is a hidden one silently benefiting players from rare and unique drops, clue-specific rewards, favorable skilling procs and accessing the rare drop table. Moreover, Luck-enhancing items now fall on one of four tiers. More specifically, what content luck affects, is dependent on the given Tier. So, for Tier 1, luck will affect Level 1-50 Slayer monsters, easy clues, various Bosses and will provide an increased chance to access the rare drop table.
For Tier 2 luck will affect Level 51-80 Slayer monsters, Skilling, Medium clues, various Bosses and will provide an increased chance to access the rare drop table as well as to receive better loot from it. For Tier 3 luck will affect Level 81-99 Slayer monsters, High-level skilling, Hard clues, various Bosses and provide further chance to access the rare drop table, as well as to receive better loot from it. Finally for Tier 4 luck will affect all Slayer monsters, all skilling, Elite clues and lower, various Bosses and provide further increased chance to access the rare drop table, to receive better loot from it and to receive certain unique drops.
Apart from the above adjustments, multiple new and reworked luck-enchanting items are included such as the rings of luck, wealth and fortune incorporating new stats, the luck of the Dwarves, a new item which requires a new material – alchemical onyx – that can be created via the Invention skill, the Collector’s Insignia and the Luck Potion among others.

Nice tier adjustments. It’s always good to see runescape change to what the players want. I personally like the ring of wealth the best.
